Be Confident – Priority Notification Service from Fleetistics

Fleetistics Priority Notification Service (PNS) uses a round-robin notification process to alert key individuals of critical issues outside the noise of the standard GPS alerts. Notifications are sent via SMS and then a digital voice call. You select the key individuals to be notified and the order in which they are to be notified. The Priority Notification Service system will continue to send to the next user until a reply is received.

Why Priority Notifications?

In larger fleets, having one person responsible for critical issues creates a vulnerability. If that one person is unavailable due to travel, vacation, cellular coverage, or illness, then the critical issue is not addressed. By including multiple people in a notification process, others are automatically notified when the primary is unavailable.

This service is available for clients using Fleetisitcs ONE and Geotab platforms. Total functionality will vary by GPS device used and how it is installed.

Can I try it first?

You can enjoy a free 30-day trial just by turning on PNS in MyFleetistics. After 30 days the service will be billed monthly, cancel any time. Here is how to access Fleetistics services. In the MyFleetistics menu select Account > Services > Administer Services.
Navigate to Administer Services
Turn on the service you want to try, in this case Priority Notification Service.
Then select it from the menu to set it up.
Select Priority Notification Service
Set up is easy! Select the users you want to notify in the order you choose.
Set up the notifications you want.
Review your choices and make sure the notifications you want are set to ON.
Now you can relax knowing that whatever happens, the appropriate manager(s) will be contacted to address the issue.

Fleetistics Device Status Table Increases ROI

The Fleetistics Device Status Table is probably the most underused tool available on MyFleetistics. Many customers use the MyFleetistics portal but do not realize there are many helpful tools, views, and reports at their fingertips. MyFleetistics provides what the GPS platforms do not, across multiple GPS platforms, often in fewer clicks. Data available will vary based on the GPS device and platform you are using but it offers a quick view of many key data points.

Fleetistics Device Status Table

One of the most important views available is the Fleetistics Device Status Table. It is the first option under the Analytics & Reports menu. You can also link to it quickly from a status alert field below the map on your MyFleetistics home page because it is so important to driving your ROI. If vehicles aren’t reporting, you need to know that right away.

The Fleetistics Device Status Table gives you the details you need to determine what needs to be done or to open a support case for assistance.   1. Click a circle to filter the table below. Quickly view devices which have not reported in 3, 7 or 21 days.
  2. Click to view the device on a map or see if the vehicle is parked or driving.
  3. Easy access to vehicle reported odometer.
  4. Verify last report date and time.
  5. Vehicle battery status (without power the device cannot report)
  6. Engine warning light
  7. Magnifying glass accesses additional information that may be helpful.
  8. Click to create a support case which inserts device details for you
Using Fleetistics Device Status Table

The most helpful feature is the ability to create a support case from the far-right icon. With one click, a support window is opened, and device details are inserted for you to quickly report the issue and get back to business.
