Locating the OBD port is simple. You have probably seen the OBD port and wondered what it is and how it might be used. The most common use is by mechanics. Mechanics can connect a scan tool which retrieves data from the vehicles controller area network (CAN). The port is referred to as the CAN BUS. THE data retrieved is call the on-board diagnostics (OBD) data.
